Nancy J. Overholt is a recognized expert in executive coaching, with clients in North America, Europe, Africa, and East Asia. Her 30+ years leading multicultural teams contribute to her understanding of her coaching clients’ personal and organizational transformation needs. Nancy’s professional certifications include People Coach (ICF-recognized), Cultural Intelligence Certificate, and DEI Certification.

At the Institute of International Education (IIE), Nancy’s leadership focused on IIE’s high visibility public diplomacy programs: Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program and International Visitor Leadership Program; USAID and the US Department of Agriculture; and the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Prior to IIE, Nancy designed and administered programs for international professionals through appointments at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Nancy has spearheaded training for the government, corporate, and private sectors for 30+ years in the U.S. and globally. Clients have included ministerial-level executives from The Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Government of Chile. Her corporate sector trainings include clients such as Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc., LG, and Aramco. As well, Nancy provided the leadership, design, and evaluation of several capacity-building initiatives for senior ministers and officials of the Government of Afghanistan, the initiatives were conducted in Malaysia.

Nancy received a Bachelor of Arts from Albion College, Albion, MI (magna cum laude; Phi Beta Kappa) as well as an Arts Master, University of Michigan. She has native fluency in English and French and speaks some Spanish. Her awards include the IIE Centennial Medal, Fulbright Specialist Award, Antananarivo (DoS/ECA); IIP, Morocco (DoS); Director’s Citation (DoS/ECA); and the Exemplary Service Award, VEGA.
